Lehman Brothers Japan Inc. filed a petition for commencement of civil rehabilitation proceedings on September 16, 2008 and continued to make the distributions in accordance with its rehabilitation plan including the first distribution in October 2010. After the final distribution in February 2019, we continued our effort to complete the liquidation and we are now pleased to announce that the liquidation proceeding has been completed on August 28, 2019.
In addition, we would also like to inform you that the liquidation proceedings of affiliated companies, which filed a petition for commencement of civil rehabilitation proceedings on September 16, 2008 (Lehman Brothers Holdings Japan Inc., Lehman Brothers Commercial Mortgage K.K. and Sunrise Finance Co., Ltd.) have been completed on August 28, 2019.
